Terms of Service
Last updated June 3, 2026
These terms explain the basic rules for using Dorsal, including the early-access site, waitlist, desktop app, and related services.
Using Dorsal
You may use Dorsal for lawful personal or business aquarium planning and care tracking. You are responsible for the information you enter and for keeping your own copies of important local files.
Early-access features may change, break, or be removed as we learn from keepers and improve the product.
Accounts and access
If Dorsal provides account-based features, you are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for activity under your account.
We may suspend or limit access if use of the service creates security, legal, operational, or abuse concerns.
Content and ownership
Your aquarium records, notes, images, and project files remain yours. You give Dorsal the limited permission needed to provide features you choose to use, such as sync, backup, export, or support.
Dorsal's software, design, branding, and documentation belong to Dorsal and may not be copied or used beyond what the product allows.
No aquarium or veterinary advice
Dorsal helps organize aquarium information, but it does not replace expert judgment, veterinary advice, or species-specific research. You are responsible for care decisions you make for livestock, plants, and equipment.
Disclaimers and limits
Dorsal is provided as available, especially during early access. We do not promise uninterrupted service, perfect accuracy, or that every feature will meet every setup.
To the extent allowed by law, Dorsal is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages arising from use of the service.
